hey Kalobotz,

administration menu -> preferences -> general settings [edit] -> from theme select list, select default (i think) and then select yes to update module template.html... and then select go at bottom of screen.

I like the main XOOPS theme allot! Can I get it in the theme section? If not is there one very similar?

Thanks!

Hmm... wonder if it's the max connections set too low - will check.

No persistant connections, and shouldn't do that already

Hello all, I would like to know if it is possible to create my own templates without knowing any code. I would like to have control over all the graphics and layout, but don't know php, css, or any of that stuff. I usually work in Go Live, but my boss wants some custom XOOPS pages.

Anyone?

Much thanks!!!!!!

It means that XOOPS is having problems connecting to MySQL database. Most cases it is due to saturated MySQL processes runing on your server. Try to disable persistent connection (if you have set it on) in System Admin->Preference.

I just stumbled across this message - I had a similar problem and applied a temporary solution similar to above.

See: XOOPS Discussion

Kind regards

If you want to find a user in your SQL, look for his "id" number in xoops. After that you can go to the data base and you will find it faster. I do this when I put posts to my users.

Upon checking a site I've been meaning to put up on YAXS but it's only recently gone public is LinuxVAR.co.uk I was confronted with the following error:

This page cannot be displayed due to an internal error.

If you are the administrator of this site, please visit the XOOPS Troubleshooting Page for assistance.

Error [Xoops]: Unable to connect to database in file /usr/home/customers/stevepurkiss/www.linuxvar.co.uk/www/class/database/databasefactory.php line 34

So I connected to the db and all OK

and mainfile ok

then 2 mins later site ok again

This understandably worries me!

Any ideas?
