Hello DonXoop,

Quote:
It sounds like you've applied the Private Forum hack? If you change the preferences to Group access control vs User access you can more easily control it. Then just create a group with the desired users (no need to check any other options in Groups) and control them in Forums en mass.

Is didn’t applied the Private Forum hack at all. I only use a private forum at the moment to create a forum which is only accessible for registered users. But it’s a lot of work to add every new user to the access list of this private forum.
So maybe there is another more easy way to do this? I didn’t find the option where I could change Group access versus User access. Could you explain this to me?
Thanks in advance,
cheers,

That setting is for comments. I have the same question about setting flat vs. threaded in the forums. Any ideas out there?

I'm wondering what forums and what CMS any of you would like to see converted to XOOPS (referring to moving to XOOPS and you want to transfer your data from that forum or cms to the XOOPS db, so users don't have to reregister, content doesn't get lost, etc etc)

I'm working on a project to convert to/from various cmses and forums, so far i have:

NSN-Nuke, OpenSiteManager, PHP-Nuke, PostNuke, Xoops, Invision Power Board, phpBB, phpwcms, Mambo, Xaraya (not sure if I'll support that yet, maybe wait until it's 1.0 release, since it has so many beta releases)

If you post a cms or forum, please also post it's url as well, so that I can download it to look at the sql dump.

Thanks!

I do not understand the question well:
is the this file zip which you do not manage to open?

Or is the this files audio and video which does not start
because in this case a chmod 666 on the folder and files sql are advised

For right now I'm just trying to get the module to work.

When I click on the file in my xsoops site to play I get this message:

"Cannot open file. Verify path and file name are correct."

Do I need to set pemissions to any of the MediaShow folders?

MacUnkie.
