hi, is it possible to create a menu (static) that will change in a submenu on click...

for example... my mainmenu has 3 entries... 1.home 2.downloads 3.links...

now when i choose links i want that the link-site appears in the center and that my mainmenu changes in 1.main-links 2.misc-links 3.old-links 4.back

or if its not possible that a 2nd (sub)menu appears in the right block with these new menu entries...

can anyone help me ?

I'm new to XOOPS and this whole php thingy... I thing for being a novice, my site is turning out pretty well; however, i'm having a few problems... Can anyone help?

1) If I choose a different theme or template nothing seems to ever change. I managed to load a couple of template, but when I pick a different one...nothing happens. Anyone know where I can find some documentation or something that could walk a novice through this????

2) My menu buttons, etc. are all short... they don't span the whole column. How do I fix this?

3) How do I modify the top of the page to put my logo up there?

Any help would be appreciated...

Here's what I have so far...http://www.jla-online.com/thelot

Sounds like a good suggestion for a new feature for a later release...

Why not visithttp://wfsections.xoops2.com - and add it as a new suggestion?

Actually - I had changed the settings in the mail users area because I couldn't send out emails to all my users (which I still can't do). However, now, I can register, it says it has sent an activation email, but I never receive it. I have a trouble ticket open with my hosting company.

What is really strange to me is that it appears to happen on some sites I have hosted with them and not on others. I'll post the resolution here when I get one.

does anyone know what this feature is useful for when you turn it on from the admin page? or have some examples.

I am trying to use the XOOPS session management system to store some more session variables but this doesnt seem to be working, i tried putting
$HTTP_SESSION_VARS['siteid'] = '1';
on my code but when i check in the session table in the database its not showing up. anyone knows what i should do?

regards

hi.
in the faq module admin/index.php i want to take out the new question form and any dependencies within the file to run it so that i can design a users can post faq's hack.
I have found the form under the listcontents process - but i am a little unsure about how it works and its happenings. Then i think it does the quickeditcontents section. But i am confused - dosen't it need to run the addcontentsgo section???

any help appreciated.

Try manually deleting the stuff in templates_c directory (except for index.php). If that doesn´t help try updating the module in system administration.

Re: WYSIWYG

Yep, we are hard at work with this. Samuels has come a really long way with the Koivi editor as a XOOPS class, but we'll still need to figure out a way to include it in the core so that another editor can be plugged in, should a better one emerge.
