Who's idea was it to hide the print function in the News module? It took me 15 minutes to find it. You have to click the title name of an article to make the print Icon appear? I think it should be there by default... If the article is too long, which it was for me, you don't see the print Icon. It wasn't intuitively obvious at all! I'll make mine MUCH more obvious. Anyway thanks for leading me to the answer.

Whomever created the news module, please take this as constructive criticism. It's still a great piece of software.

[Edit] (Sheepish grin)

I had only posted one news article and as such didn't realize the norm is to click the title... Sorry, the module is just perfect as is...

Thanks davidl2,

I checked the group permissions and found it fine. I unchecked the admin rights for WFsection, Update, then checked it back again, but unfortunately it didn't work.

I created another Admin user and tried to access the General Configuration section.

Just to let you know, I can still access the other Admin sections like:

Sections Manager
Article Management
Create new Article
Upload Management
Weight Management
Attached Files

Any other suggestions?

The only way you would not have access to WF-Section Config is if you where not the webmaster and you used another account to try access the config area.

Yes (in a way) but for other filetypes other browsers could show problems too. The problem comes from how a browser handles different mimetypes. It is nothing we really can influence.

If we try to fix it from the moduleside it would come with a security tradeoff. Therefore thats not an option at the moment and for some file types this problem will reside with some browsers.

So for the example picture users could either see the pic /rightclick save as or click the download link.

Sorry for this inconveniance,

Bender

ps: would you please delete my 'testing' account and the file i test-uploaded. No need having my testaccounts lying around the world everywhere.

$result = $xoopsDB -> query('SELECT * FROM `thetesttable` LIMIT 0, 30');

I want to select all data from (what i've named in this case thetesttable. The table exists and can be edited with PHP admin. I am able to add to it using:
$result = $xoopsDB -> query("INSERT INTO etc...")

Even when I attempt to select a single table, it fails. I've read the php and MySQL documentation and as far as I can figure out, this has something to do with the way XOOPS accesses the database?

For the moment I just want this:
$result = $xoopsDB -> query('SELECT * FROM `thetesttable`');
to work. If anyone could help me that would be great.

Ann,

We have fixed this issue and more for the next update. So far testing is going very well and there should be an update tomorrow.
