Im looking for a good find and replace editor to search files within a directory/sub directory containing a piece of text and replace it. I dont want to have to open every single file individualy and do a find and replace like I have to with my current software. Oh and lets not even mention the find function in xp eh lol.

It also needs to be freeware :)

Anyone know of a good one?

Hi Luminosity, this is not going to help fix your problem but more to inform you that you do have a problem as I personally have 3 sites all using comments and smilies without problems so to answer one of your questions - yes it is possible to have smilies in comments.

My sites are standard installs as comes out of the XOOPS box - meaning I did nothing to get them to work.

Good luck,
Marty.

I think that your CMHD permissions need to be adjusted.

I have been noticing that when smilies are used in comments, they show up in their raw form. Even though the comments box used to write has a choice of smilies below it. Is there a way I can get the smilies to work in the comments?

The fact that SurpassHosting take the trouble to respond speaks volumes IMHO.

I continue to be very happy with this hosting company.

Eugney, thanks for the help! I was looking at converting a guestbook perhaps, but your way is much simpler!

Now to create the form.

I want a collect info from the residents in our street because we keep getting parking tickets! Getting fined to park outside your house? ArgH!

1) The template variable 'users' is assigned in modules/xoopsmembers/index.php:

$xoopsTpl->append('users'$userdata);

2) Are you sure you removed the file xoopsmembers_searchresults.html?

Has anyone else experienced this? I would like to know if it is possible to have smilies in the comments! If not, I will just have to remove the option to include smilies from the template, once I find it...
