I've seen newbb update folders that was not directed to be deleted and other modules with update scripts on the servers. Should I have them all deleted (ofcourse with those updated files backup first)

Re:how do I edit registration form so users can place themselves in a group?

you should use the XoopsFormSelectGroup class for this. Add an instance of this class to the register form, then modify register.php to look for this new select box. In register.php there is existing code to add user to group, copy / modify this code to add your newly registered user to the group selected.

Can anyone tell me when you install the default memberlist1 is an icon supposed to show in the left colum when you are in the admin section?.

It all looks installed right but i can't seem to make anything happen (no icon shows in left colum but it is in blocks)

and i have a feeling this is a module i need.

Could anyone help and maybe describe what is supposed to happen when this is installed and how it works

thanks in advance
Gecko

Before the block will appear in the listing fro anonymous, you must set the permission in Groups Manager.

In Groups Manager, click on anonymous, and then check the box for your custom block.

Hope this is what is the problem, just speedread the topic.

Cheers

/edit
PS like Chapi said, uncheck the Block from the Registered group so that they can't see it.

Hey Ackbarr,

You were right. I changed the weight to 0 and woooooosh its gone!!. woohoo!! thanks.

Now for those who want instructions,

Go to SYS ADMIN -> BLOCKS and there you can adjust the weight.
If the line you are after is not there and is actually a module instead, then,

go to SYS ADMIN -> MODULES and under ORDER change the number from 1 (or whatever) to 0 and it will disapear from the main menu for anonymous.

But i think it will also disappear for registered users too. In this case it will not affect me, but might affect others. so the clue is around weight or the order, maybe play around with this and you might be able to solve it.

and now to shake hands with ackbarr.

Whoops.. Disregard what i said about html not working. I missed the option of supporting both and now i enabled it and it works fine.

However, there is still a page creation problem. When i type CamelCase it doesn't creates a link. And if i make a link manually pointing to something like "http://www.libervis.com/wikimod/index.php?page=NewPage" it leads me to the "not found" error instead to the form for creating a new page.

I believe it's not a big bug..

As you see, i am still evaluating the two modules. Both look great. Wiwi is more featurefull and wikimod is "slicker" as you said yourself :)

Thank you
Daniel
