You can ctrl+click on the pages you want in the selection box to achieve this. For instance, highlight them all and ctrl+click the forum module to unhighlight it and save your changes.

I havn't tried this myself, but I do believe it will work.

I believe this module has fallen by the wayside, but thats the beauty of XOOPS, anyone can pick it up where i was left off, including other projects and release it!

A renewed interest may get someone motivated and has time to build something along these lines. There are many other modules that you or others can feel free to use as a base design template, as something like this, one would think, should be rather easy to develop providing they have the skills to do so.

All the answers you need are here on the forums and you may find some comprehensive information by following the links in my signature.

To install a module, download, unzip and upload to your xoops_root/modules folder, the same goes for themes.

You can activate a module by going into the module admin area when logged in as an administrator (your initial user/pass you created when installing XOOPS)

You are highly recommended to follow and read the links provided below. These are very basic functions and all your question are covered in many different areas.

Also be sure to look for JackJ's XOOPS guide for dummies, a very good way to learn the system!

Good Luck

I am using the left and right positions for my blocks on all pages. However, I would like to give more space to the forums.

What I am trying to achieve in my forums is to turn off some of the blocks on the left hand column, and have all of the right hand column blocks moved so that they appear on the left column. That way, my forums can expand to the right hand column.

Is this possible? I tried different options but the changes seem to be global (I also tried this via editing Groups but I believe this is global).

I have also searched the forums and can't find an answer. Any ideas?

Open /themes/themeFolderName/theme.html and edit changes. Or, upload an image of the same dientions to /themes/themeName/images (or whatever the theme specifies for a folder), refresh and done.

Dont forget to activate template updates in the admin panel or you will not see changes to your site.

You can also search here on the forums for troubleshooting and further tips on modifying your themes.

Also be sure to check out the links in my signature for more help if needed.

Good Luck.

Using the code <{xoops_banner}> in 2 locations shows the same banner everytime, is there a way to make 2 location on the same page show 2 diffrent banners?

If you get this to work, please release your hack to the community as I am sure many would like to have this feature until it is possibly built into future code releases.

It is safe to delete these files after updating/installing as these files are no longer needed. It is always advisable to delete update files and installer scripts from your server once finsihed with them to protect your settings, even in case of accidental use or in the extreme but rare case of innapropriate behaviour or curious people.
