A small feature request: Is it possible to get a visual indication on the Messages icon that there is an unread message in the inbox (as opposed to it only showing when you hover the mouse over the icon)?

Security is not a real issue here since we're not dealing with sensitive information, but of course you're right in principle. I'll probably end up going with your suggested solution, as it is the most time efficient.

Also, thanks for your suggestion Ghia. I may implement it eventually if I have the time.

I'm setting up a site where I register users centrally. Is there any way I can automatically send out an initial e-mail including BOTH the user name and the given password?

I ended up making both tables InnoDB to get rid of the charset and auto increment. That was the only way to get it to work on this specific version (4.12 I believe) of MySQL.

Still get the following error when trying to install to a MySQL 4 DB:

You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'DEFAULT CHARSET=utf8 AUTO_INCREMENT=1' at line 9

XOOPS version is 2.4.4. Yes, I did it on the same site. Sounds really strange if it utilizes the same function for validation

Some bugs (or something) found:
- " im", i.e. a space followed by the letters im (not capital) are removed in conversations
- The help text for the button "Messages" is a constant. Should be changed into a language variable
