I have a couple of questions related to the PM module:
1. Does anyone have a suggestion on a smooth way to add a pop-up on login to indicate the user has a new PM?
2. Is there a replacement PM module out there that let's the user send PM's to multiple users?

What is the best way of limiting the users someone can send a PM too? Is there a module that supports this (haven't found one) or do I have to hack the underlying query/code?
The reason for asking is that I only want activated users available to send PM's to.

Too bad. I guess I have to do it the hard way and edit the db entry then.

Is it just me, or is there no way to change the avatar for another user, other than editing the database entry or replacing the actual file on the server?
Seems kind of strange you can edit everything about another user's profile, but not change avatar. A FAQ entry from 2004 here on the site states it can be done, but doesn't say how and I'm seriously beginning to doubt that it can be done.

Reading it again, I think I misunderstood your post. I thought you were after displaying an end date, but now I realize you probably don't get any dates at all, right?

If the code of the block supports it, then it's just a matter of adding the smarty variables. If not, you have to add the database call to get the start and end time and then add them as smarty variables.
I want this as well and will implement it in a block in one of my sites, so if you can wait a couple of weeks I'll be happy to share the code.
