I need a database that can allow users to submit:
Leg band Initial (character, 50 length)
Number (char, 50 len)
Color (char, 50)
Breeder (char, 50)
Location (char, 50)
Details (char, 999)
Submitted by (user id)
Dateadded (date, current date/time)

I need it to be searchable.

This will be used to house a database of parrot leg bands. Users often need to search a leg band to see who the breeder was.

I have some banner clients and one of them says:
"I click onhttp://www.aviary.info/banners.php?op=click&bid=5 and the screen is blank."

That's the link that is generated by her banner on my site. Problem is, I can click the banners without any problem. I've tried from firefox and IE6.

Anyone else see anything like this?

have you also cloned your templates? to change the image you need to edit the theme.html that is in the directory of your current theme.

you could add php code to the smarty theme.html, have it validate the page on a set basis (maybe once a day or week or month or just once, period). and display the image until a page doesn't validate.

that's assuming that it's possible to detect via php whether or not a page validated. i don't know the validation process, but i'm assuming you could have the script open a link to the validation script or server, and wait for the results, and store info in the database maybe, to let the script know whether or not the page is validated

or maybe better is just an admin-side module that could loop through all navigatable, local links on your site (similar to a search bot spidering your page), so that it only validates when an admin runs the validation script.

might be a good project for someone with time on their hands

Javascript menu not working in Firefox when added to theme.html

I hope someone here can help me. I'm at my wits end. I'm trying to set up a new website for my church. My pastor really likes the look of the horizontal dhtml menus. I tried without success (so far) to get tigra working (plus, it appears that it only understands absolute positioning, and I need relative). I tried building a menu with the Coffee Cup DHTML menu builder. It creates a ton of code that goes directly into your page, anywhere within the body. Menu works with IE and Firefox. I pasted the code into my theme.html file (not correctly positioned yet, but it's on the page). Showed up fine in IE, but does not show up at all in Firefox. I put just the menu code in a separate html file, and it works fine with either browser.

I have to have this site completed before Sunday morning. I still have a lot of content to put in, but it won't matter if I don't have a working menu. If anyone could take a look at it, I would sure appreciate it.

The site is at www.dconline.org. The site is closed (pastor let the new url leak early), but I have created an account for you to log in with - test / test.

The menu code is pasted in directly after the <body> tag.

To see the menu working in mozilla / firefox, you can go to menu test and see it in action.

If anyone has any suggestions on something else that would provide the needed funtionality, I'm open to that as well. I just need to get something working fast.

Thanks in advance.

John

Forgot to mention how i can't login to my site. It's not that it doesn't accept the login username and password, it says thank you for loging in, but then just refreshes the same page.

All that started with updating modules. Firstly i tried to update news module and it went well only after i completely removed and then installed it.
These further problems when i wanted to update newbb forum to version 2. I added all the files to the specified directory as it was in unzipped directory's and replaced the newbb module directory with the new one. However, it caused the same problem (those codes above interface) and more to that obviously disfunctioned the whole system.

OK..here is it:

Linux Kernel version: 2.4.21-4.0.1.ELsmp
Apache version: 1.3.31 (Unix)
PHP version: 4.3.5
MySQL version: 4.0.18-standard

The link to the site is www.libervis.com , but i turned the site off yesterday night becuse of these problems and because site is under development. Now i can't even login myself through that login box on the splach screen when site is off. And it shows the code beyond the interface just as it does when i update modules.

I was just about to put the screenshot here, but my FTP program (Filezilla) could not retrieve directory listing. Gosh, when it starts to go wrong it starts to go wrong..i hate that.
However, you can see what i mean by the code above interface when you visit www.libervis.com.

Thank you very much for any help, i appreciate it!
Daniel
