Julian,

why not submit it as a code submission for the XOOPS 2.0 Core at sf.net? (See the links at the left, under dev resources). We'll evaluate the code and see if it can be made part of the core

I tried to insert a countdown JavaScript in my XOOPS site (2.0.7). It worked fine and everything was OK. But when I upgraded my site to 2.0.7.3, JavaScript can't work in blocks anymore. Is there any relationship wiht theme.html? Please help. Thanks!

Yeah,
I would also like to ask, how do I display the latest news displayed seperately depending on Topic like Campus, Local/State, Nation/World. Do I have to edit recent news ?

I'm new to developing with XOOPS.

Can someone tell me, how I can retrieve the DB table prefix? I've got the global variable $xoopsDB, I got that far, but what key do I use to access the value for the prefix?

Thanks for you help.

About the randomly generated password, I'd suggest it being optional. Making it optional allows us to use meaningful keywords to invite people.

I've found, among other things, that the registration code box is a required field, so there's no point in having the word 'Optional' beside it. So there's a few polish-related things like that which could go in another release.

Thanks one and all for the interest!

Oops, I used the wrong word. When I said "making it optional" I mean "having the option of using custom codes or system random codes".

Anyway, you got my point. And thanks a lot for this great module.

Thanks people, but OldSwede has already sent me the files for editing, and I have already sent them back to him with my edits.

Thanks anyhow for the efforts and participation.
