{{#if: Help|Template:H:h Help|Template:H:h Help}} Template:Shortcut The (whole) contents of one page can be placed onto another page via a process called transclusion. If a page is specially intended for this purpose it is called a template.

This can be considered a wiki subroutine facility and is comparable to an #include statement or macro that is expanded at page view time. Substitution allows templates to be used as a macro facility.
